LEANA & BRUCE

A Little Rock ’n’ Roll in Saint-Tropez

For Leana Dolci, Saint-Tropez was already full of memories from her time living there. Her wedding to Bruce Dickinson brought family and close friends to Château de la Messardière, overlooking the bay.

Bruce stretched out on a sun lounger in pinstripes and a striped hat, the afternoon shadows falling across his suit. Leana wore a gown with a long, fluid train, lace tracing its plunging neckline and open back.

Down at Jardin Tropézina on Pampelonne beach, they exchanged vows beside the sea. Blue, blush and white flowers curved around them; sunglasses stayed on. Away from the gathering, Leana stood on the rocks below the pastel waterfront houses, her train resting against the stone.

Back at the château, tables beneath the arches were set with pale blue patterned linens, flowers and candles among the glassware. The umbrella pines were lit as the sky darkened. Bruce wore bright red trainers with his pinstriped suit, a colourful back to his waistcoat. By the cake, the Iron Maiden frontman stood grinning with a glass in hand — still in pinstripes, very much himself.
